To succeed in the new global economy, students need to be able to think like entrepreneurs and be resourceful, flexible, creative, and think globally. The skills that define entrepreneurs – effective communication, curiosity and critical thinking – are the essential skills that all students need to develop. Yong Zhao, a professor at the University of Oregon and the author of the new book World Class Learners: Educating Creative and Entrepreneurial Students, addresses these questions and explains what’s needed if we truly want to help our students to be successful.
